Banking for Everyone
As per RBI guidelines, banks MUST offer "Small Accounts" that can be opened with just a self-attested photograph and signature or thumb impression. No Aadhaar or PAN card is needed.
Types of Accounts Without Full KYC
- Small Accounts (RBI mandate): Max balance ₹50,000, max withdrawal ₹10,000/month, valid for 12 months (extendable to 24 months).
- Jan Dhan Accounts: Requires only one ID proof (Voter ID, driving license, MGNREGA card). Zero balance with Government benefits credited directly.
- India Post Payment Bank: Aadhaar-only account with ₹1 Lakh max balance. Available at any post office.

Getting Full KYC Done
Start with a small account, then apply for Aadhaar at any enrollment center. Once you have Aadhaar, upgrade to a full KYC account with no balance restrictions.
